The USS Yorktown, a WWII aircraft carrier, is one of the exhibits at the Patriots Point Museum in Charleston Harbor. The Yorktown was the prime recovery ship for Apollo 8. An exhibit below decks commemorates the Yorktown's part in the US space program. |

The International Women's Air & Space Museum opened in March 1986 and moved to its current location at Burke Lakefront Airport in 1998.

The U.S. Space Walk of Fame and the Flight Project Monuments are located in Space View Park, Titusville, Florida. Monuments to the NASA Mercury and Gemini programs are completed and an Apollo monument is underway.
